Spellbinders and The Greetery birthday card

Hello everyone and welcome to the latest challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More.

.

This time we have our Make Your Mark theme so you can break out your favourite colouring medium and go to town.

I came up with this card

I used the Stamp from the Spellbinder Stylish Oval range that I used on this card back in February
but this time I stamped parts of it around a rectangular panel to give it a different frame look.
I stamped on Bristol Smooth card and coloured with Zig Clean Colour Markers.

The Wonderful stamp and die is from The Greetery, and I finished it off with a trio of little butterflies from Papertrey Ink.

Penny Black Sleigh Ride Christmas card and Crafters Companion Penguin Christmas card

Hello everyone, and welcome to the ABC Christmas Challenges April challenge.

I am hosting this time and I have a little prize for the winner

This challenge runs from 10th April to 4th May and we are covering two alphabet letters this time.

The Christmas/December/Winter holidays themes this time round are:

'H is for Hats'

and

'I is for Inky'

These are my offerings:-

H for hats

For this card, I used the cute Crafter's Companion penguin die, and cut 2 of them, decorating their hats and scarfs in different colours. I stood them in little ice flows from the MFT Polar Pals stamp set and the lower sentiment came from the same set. The background was created by blending a couple of blue inks and adding some splatter.

and I for Inky

I blended several blue inks for this one and then used the Memory Box Pinpoint Burst Impression Plate to add texture. I sprayed the panel with Crafter's Companion Sparkle Spray and although it isn't showing up well in the photos, it looks pretty IRL. The added white splatter was made with watered-down Gouache paint.

The image was stamped with the Penny Black Sleigh Ride stamp set and coloured with Zig Clear Colour Pens. I fussy cut the image and added some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to Rudolph's nose.

The Design Team has lots of inspiration over on the ABC blog, and I look forward to seeing your entries if you decide to join us this time.

I hope you are all safe and warm and that Storm Kathleen, which has been buffeting us here today as I write this, hasn't had a big impact on you.

Lisa Horton and Spellbinders Get Well card

Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and more.

Thank you for your kind wishes after my tummy bug. I'm happy to report that all is well again, and I even enjoyed some chocolate over the Easter holiday weekend. We have just had our first real taste of spring with a couple of warmish sunny days and lots of flowers are blooming - even the lily of the valley have sent up their shoots and I anticipate they will be sharing their lovely fragrance in a couple of weeks.

Our theme this time is Die Cuts and Stencils so I made a get-well card.

I used the Lisa Horton pocket dies and Spellbinders Be Bold bloom dies, a sentiment from my stash and finished off with a little PTI butterfly.

My Teamies have some great inspiration cards for you over on the ATSM blog and we'd love to have you join us this time.

Lisa Horton Blooming Coneflower thank you card

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well and full of the joys of spring. I'm getting there after having a bad tummy bug that has floored me for a few days.

I'm back with a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More, and this time we have our any occasion challenge.

I came up with this 5 x 7 thank you card

I used my NBUS Lisa Horton Blooming Coneflower stencils and 3d embossing folder and then cut the panel with a scalloped rectangle die. I should have cut the panel before embossing because it flattened the raised surface a little. Of course, I could have embossed it again but I was afraid of it slipping and ruining the impression so I chickened out. The die-cut thank-you sentiment is foiled with black foil from Spellbinders.

Crafter's Companion Snowman Christmas card and Inky Doodles Gingerbread Christmas card

Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge at ABC Christmas Challenges.

I hope you are all well and getting some time to craft. I'm feeling the spring vibe right now with all the beautiful blooms that have burst open to brighten my day.

We have three choices for you this time -

E for Embossing,

F for Faux,

G for Gingerbread

The lovely Lynda from Loopyloo Cards is our host this time and she has a prize for the randomly chosen winner.

I came up with

E for Embossing

I used a snowflake embossing folder for the background and some coated card for this technique. I embossed the blue card, got a sanding block and gently sanded away the surface from the raised details of the embossing. I really like this technique which gives the look of embossing paste without needing drying time.

The snowman is also from Crafter's Companion and he was coloured simply with the scarf and hat being raised with some glue for dimension.

G is for Gingerbread

For this card, I cut a panel with a die for The Greetery, masked off a rectangle and inked with blue ink to create the background. I stamped and white embossed the gingerbread figures (The Best Gift stamp set from Inky Doodles) onto kraft card, along with their clothing and Christmas stockings. I coloured the clothing and fussy cut everything before dressing the figures and adhering them to the panel. The sentiment was stamped between them to finish everything off.

The design team has lots to show you over on the ABC Christmas Challenges website and you can post your entry there until 6th April.

Alex Siberia Fantasy Flower birthday card

Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More.

We just had a beautifully sunny spring day here and the sunshine has really bucked me up after the dull, wet weather we've been having. Long may it continue!

This time we are looking for birthday cards, and as my stock is severely depleted, I was pleased to rustle this one up.

I cut the frames from textured pink card that has a slight sheen to it, and stamped and embossed the sentiment from Papertrey Ink. The NBUS flowers are from the Fantasy Flower set from Alex Siberia, and I cut them from 2 shades of teal card stock and shaped the top petals to give some dimension.

This was very quick to pull together and I quite like the teal against the pink.

Penny Black Immense Noel and Nestled Christmas card

Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More.

We have our Christmas theme this time and I came up with this card

I first cut a card panel with one of The Greetery's Nordic frames, masked off the edges, and inked with distress ink.

I cut the Penny Black Immense Noel die three times and stacked them to give some dimension. The robin is NBUS from the PB Nestled dies, and I cut this from watercolour card and then coloured it with watered-down ink. I popped him inside the O along with some sprigs from a Papertrey Ink mistletoe die.

After I placed the panel on the card, it looked too spare, so I found a little star stamp in a Clearly Besotted set and dotted it around the background to finish it off.
